The 2026 Calgary Stampede begins soon, and I wanted to say that this year is going to be better than ever! I thought I would go back to the past few years of Calgary Stampede Princesses - including First Nations.

Sarah O'Brien
Sarah grew up in Calgary where her love of horses and community first began. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mount Royal University and has a lifelong passion for working with animals. Sarah has a diverse riding background that includes showing horses, trail riding in the mountains, and performing with the Calgary Stampede Showriders.
Sarah is honoured to represent an organization that has shaped her so much already, and to carry forward the Stampede’s legacy with pride, professionalism, and heart.
Raegan First Rider
Raegan is a 20-year-old Jingle Dress dancer from Kainai Nation whose Blackfoot name, is Isspiitaapoyi, meaning Stands Tall. She loves working with young children and has hopes of becoming an elementary teacher. As the Calgary Stampede First Nations Princess, Raegan will proudly represent the Stampede and her Kainai community while empowering youth, sharing her culture through dance and serving as a dedicated ambassador and role model.
2025 Calgary Stampede Princesses
Back in 2025, Breanna was a 23-year-old communications student at Mount Royal University in her hometown of Calgary. Her passion for agriculture began at the age of nine when she joined her local 4-H club. Today, she balances her studies with coaching multiple local 4-H clubs and spending as much time outside as possible.
2024 Calgary Stampede Princesses
Pacey is a 25-year-old Jingle Dress Dancer from the Kainai Nation. Her Blackfoot name is Otsskoiikitstakaii, which means "Blue Offering Woman." She aspires to be an educator, teaching the Blackfoot language or drama to our youth.
The Calgary Stampede First Nations Princess is a member of a Treaty 7 First Nation and shares her culture with audiences at hundreds of events annually, including speaking engagements, joining classrooms, and performing traditional dances.
A born and raised Albertan, Fielding started riding on her family’s acreage in Water Valley at just eight years old. The now 23-year-old has experience in both Western and English disciplines, having competitively shown in jumping, dressage, and eventing. She is also no stranger to the Stampede, having been part of the Calgary Stampede Ranch Girls and the Calgary Stampede Showriders.
Brooke is passionate about personal fitness, skiing, boating, food, and travel. She recently graduated from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce. She loves to learn and is planning to follow in her mother’s footsteps by pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine.
Calgary – In a celebration of history and cultural pride, Margaret Holloway from the Stoney Nakoda Nation was crowned the 2024 Calgary Stampede First Nations Princess.
“From public speaking to cultural knowledge and interpersonal skills, Margaret will be an incredible ambassador for the Calgary Stampede and Elbow River Camp,” says Terri Jo Lennox, outgoing Chair of the First Nations Events Committee. “She is the first Princess from Stoney Nakoda to be crowned in over two decades and we are excited to see how she uses this platform to share more about her culture and traditions.”
