Forgotten Fashion Trends That Should Come Back

BY C STONE | THE SUPER HOT ||| FASHION NEWS

We remember the era of iconic trucker hats. It doesn't matter if it's old-school mesh, blue jean, or leather, these hats are practical, versatile, and fairly cheap. Trick hats were neat - those are hats that color change, have unique words on them, and designs.

Crop tops and low-rise jeans. Set yourself back to the early 90's and this trend was common for young women. They could be called baby-t shirts, but all I knew was no one wore them in the winter time. These outfits were popular in the summer months.

Have flip-flops come full circle? The cheap, plastic and foam-style shoes that make that iconic noise when you walk - who can forget them? Often purchased very cheaply, these shoes are polarizing. You could consider them beach clothes. I've never once thought flip flops were stylish.

Ugg boots were expensive, often reaching $400 a pair back in the day. The soft winter boots were super popular in the 2010's. I never understood the appeal, and they were the go-to item back in 2012.

Cargo Pants are not only practical, but have many pockets to carry your every day items. I used to wear these on the daily, until one day I stopped. Why? Well, they're great if you're going into a casual work environment. They are not really business casual, unless you're into alternate dress style.

Rhinestone accents - they were huge in the 1970's. Entertainers, especially Elvis, would make it their mainstay fashion choice. Whether or not it's a normal style is up for debate. The stones are glued to the fabric. You can get pants in many different styles. The practical use for this is limited.

A shrug. It's kind of a scarf and vest or jacket. I'm not sure if it serves a purpose except to accentuate your shirt or top. For men it was unheard of to wear one.

Fedoras. I remember buying one in the mid 1980's and immediately regretted it. It's a polarizing look, one destined for the history books. But yet, it keeps coming back. Even Britney Spears back in the day wore one a few times.

A few times indeed.

Fashion Trends That Needs To Go Away

BY C STONE | THE SUPER HOT ||| FASHION INDUSTRY

Dear readers, today I will be discussing my personal opinion on what women's fashion needs to stay away...forever. Do look and give me your thoughts. I hope you enjoy this article.

Above: Cutoff homemade shorts made from jeans. Just stop. Even Catherine Bach from The Dukes of Hazzard couldn't wear these well enough to justify them.

They are too revealing, impractical, make you look poor, and have zero pockets. Hard pass. Give yourself some dignity and avoid these.

Crocs. Unless you're 95 years old and residing in an assisted living residence, just don't. You look cheap, the shoes are awful, and never think for a second these could pass for real, usable shoes that look good. If you want to wear something fishing, and don't give a f*ck, then go for it. Otherwise, don't waste your money.

I'll be the first to admit,  they kind of look cool at first. I know. It sounds awful. But honestly, just skip it already. First, you'll never be able to wash these safely. I never understood the reason behind wearing severely torn clothes. Don't.

Animal print dresses. Please. These went out of fashion in the 1970's and never came back into style. You want to know something? The pattern isn't pretty. I must be old, because the only people I have seen wearing these things are 40-year old cougars who are thirsting for your youth. Not even once.

Denim jackets. These are for people who don't give a f*ck about fashion. Yes, they last a long time. Yes, they're fairly indestructible. The problem I have with them is they are dated to the 1970's. The brass buttons, the useless pockets, even the lack of insulation or inside pockets. Not interested.

The pro's: These shirts are home made looking and the patterns are neat. The cons: You can't be taken seriously wearing this anywhere. Unless you're at a music festival with psychedelics, don't even bother. There isn't a single person in the world who would be wearing this to work. Not one. Just avoid.

Why God, why? This is what I ask myself when I see people wearing sweat pants. You know, they're good for working out in, but other than that - maybe  jog in the cold? I don't know. Every time I see people wearing them, I think "she must have gotten it from Walmart". That's not a bad thing. I've gotten many good clothes from Walmart. But sweat pants is not one of them. Oh sure, it's got that handy tie at the front, with no zipper. And yes, there are pockets in them. Something unheard of in women's clothes. I avidly avoid them.

Feel free to leave a comment here or on instagram on what you hate.
