Can You Wear Budget Fashion?

It's the end of 2025, and by God, you're going to make 2026 a more economical, but fashionable year. So you swear, this next year, you won't buy any luxury brands.

I believe you.

However, buying stylish clothes at places like Walmart is possible - if you're smart about it.

The first place to look is not Walmart but second hand clothing stores such as Value Village or the local thrift shop.

You can find shirts that normally retail for $300 for listings as low as $18 a shirt. But buying a good used luxury shirt is really tough to do. Most of the items they have that are higher-end luxury are either too small or xxxL in size.

Forget about buying shoes used. Get new, but don't buy Gucci. I suggest investing in mid-tier luxury shoes with quality stitching and comfort - like Rockports.

Back to Walmart. Here, the focus is on the undershirts which can be had as low as $6 per t-shirt. Skip the V-neck and go for the round neck. I find the V's too deep and you look ridiculous.

If you want to buy items on eBay, good luck. Consider the cost of shipping, and the risk of buying from someone who might sell you either a fake shirt, or something heavily stained and ripped. I would avoid unless you like buying lottery tickets. Ebay is like gambling, and I was never into bidding wars over clothes.

Resist the temptation to scroll through Amazon. It's useless. In the end, you'll just end up hating yourself because the item either will never ship, or never arrive at your doorstep. And by God if it does arrive? Likely not the item you ordered. Or the wrong size.

Moving on.

Your last option - and perhaps your only best bet - is to take that car out farrrrr to the luxury brand overstock store. You know? The stores located in the middle of nowhere, usually in a massive mall, full of angry shoppers seeking the exact same items as you.

So you see? It's possible to find great bargains out there.

Good luck!
