Here are some fun facts about the New England Patriots:
A "Popcorn" Emergency: In 1970, a game at Boston College was paused due to a fire under the stands caused by a popcorn machine.
No Permanent Home: In their first 12 seasons, they played at five different sites: BU Field, Fenway Park, Harvard Stadium, Alumni Stadium, and eventually Foxborough.
Name Change: Founded as the "Boston Patriots," they changed to "New England Patriots" in 1971 when they moved to their current stadium in Foxborough, having considered "Bay State Patriots".
Unusual Personnel: In 2004, due to defensive injuries, wide receiver Troy Brown stepped in to play corner and finished second on the team in interceptions.
What a wonderful, pretty selection of unique and very talented cheerleaders.
