EU Fines Gucci, Chloe, and Loewe $182 Million for Anticompetitive Pricing

BY C STONE, | EDITOR IN CHIEF | THE SUPER HOT |||| FASHION NEWS

One could imagine the screams of fury coming from executives at Gucci, Chloe, and Loewe. They were caught price-fixing their brands in which their high prices benefitted their own brands.

The fine came in at 157 million Euros, or $USD 181.52 million). All 3 brands demanded that those who sold their products must NEVER lower their prices nor compete with each other with the same brands. The also collaborated on sales between all 3 brands. Kering, who owns Gucci, said the probe resolved after cooperation from Gucci, and they anticipated this in their first half 2025 results. How nice.

This follows a recent ruling against Giorgio Armani for 3.5 million euros, also alleging unfair commercial practices.

It's quite unbelievable to think about it: major luxury brands collaborating over fixed pricing and sales. One could say it was akin to organized crime. Or is it?

We're going to bet not a single cent of this ruling went to consumers, but to the trade lawyers and government officials.

Retro: Models from the Past

BY C STONE | THE SUPER HOT ||| EDITOR IN CHIEF ||| RETRO MODELLING

A glimpse into the past is always fascinating. From here, we can learn from past themes and makeup styles. Using old magazine covers and fashion shoot images, we can learn quite a lot about what drove the industry 50-60 years ago.

In the 1970's, the average magazine price was less than $1 - can you believe it?

If there's one common theme, it's the fact there are no ugly people on these magazine covers. Looking closely, you can see the detail in the makeup and contrasting styles.

The 1960's hold a special place in my heart. It shows the fashion of women moving away from the convention 1950's look into a more dynamic, and wide-ranging style and accessories list.

It must have been difficult for women to work back then. All the ugly stereotypes are present in the magazine titles. Even today, it's not hard to spot the line.

But seventeen magazine. what a difference. It showed the difference between adult-women magazines and teenage ones. How the styles were completely different.

It's 1967, and this girl is spotted wearing a lavender ribbon dress. Just wow. The matching hairband is sweet.

We'll cover more in the next few weeks. We hope you enjoyed!

Modelling Scams - Are You Aware?

BY C STONE | THE SUPER HOT ||| NEWS

It doesn't matter how old you are, people as old as 79 years old have become victims of the fake modelling agency scam.

How it works: You receive an email, phone call, text, or instagram message asking if you're interested in getting your photos taken. Of course, the first step is usually free. But after you agree, the 'agency' will offer to sign you up for a small fee of $500 - but only if you sign and pay today.

But it gets more insidious. Usually they ask you to pay via money order, direct bank e-transfer, or pay pal "friends and family". By doing that there is no legal protections for your money leaving the bank.

But not only women can fall victim to this scam, so can men.

Also thrilled to have a modelling job was 73-year-old Roland Parker who was offered the same job as Judy with the same client and studio, just three weeks apart.

"I'm not well off and I thought this job could help me earn a bit of money and make life more comfortable," he says.

He paid £200 as a refundable attendance fee, then more for other supposed jobs.

When he arrived at a Manchester studio for one of the shoots, the staff said "they knew nothing about this".

By the time he realized he'd been scammed, he'd lost around £1,000 in fees and travel expenses - money he'd sent using PayPal's "friends and family" option, which meant he had no buyer protection.

Scammers will often ask for purchases to be made through the "friends and family" option, which has no fee attached to it.

But it's important to pay for all goods and services through PayPal's "goods and services" option as that ensures you are protected if you are scammed and PayPal will refund eligible transactions.

Never pay upfront money for any modelling job - ever. Take your time and don't sign before you read and understand the terms. Scammers love to apply urgent pressure. If you've waited this long for a contract, what's a few more days? Exactly.

Examine the company by using review web sites. Ask yourself "Why are they urgently asking me to sign?" If it involves you paying any kind of money - that's what they want. Money, and more later on as the scam develops.

Unusual Designs By The Super Hot

BY C STONE ||| THE SUPER HOT |||| EDITOR IN CHIEF |||| FASHION

Welcome to our runway. We'll showcase some of the most bizarre creations that A.I. can create. In this instance, I wanted clothes that "glowed" or was bright to wear. A.I. did not disappoint. So sit back, get that popcorn, and enjoy the virtual runway.

In theory it would be possible to create such clothes, using tiny wires and LED's woven into the fabric. How practical would it be to wear and own this outfit? Not very. You couldn't wash it.

A shimmering gold and white dress that electrifies the night. What a classic look. The subdued model wears no jewelry and has no facial expressions.

Switching gears, I wanted tight-fitted clothes of red and purple. It worked out perfectly in this shot. The hugging pants and tight T-shirt just exude sexuality.

In the above shot, I wanted bright red and purple pants. I didn't even know why, but it works so well. I'm inspired.

Back to the 80's style neon and glowing pants. It looks like she dropped a vial of glow-in-the-dark on her pants. It doesn't really work that well, but hey, we tried.

In the above shot, I wanted a floral design of pants and top. I'm not a fan of the pants, but the shirt works out great. It almost looks see through with flowers. Wow.

Gold, indigo, and blue - it works great. The high pants and top work great. I love it.

I wanted more floral in this one. It kind of works well, but too bad there isn't a belt in this image. Not bad at all.

Gold just works, no matter what. I love the gold pants, and the top match wonderfully. The gold earrings and rolled up sleeves just make it look awesome.

And finally, back to neon and 90's style plastic pants. I love the top and pants. I'm not sold on the yellow belt, but hey, at least it looks good.

Dull Colors are Back

BY C STONE ||| THE SUPER HOT ||| FASHION NEWS

Looking at the fall and spring line ups show a dramatic shift to dark, dull colors. From outlandish, metallic highlights to over-sized boots with huge belts. Did I mention nobody is smiling - ever?

Dark brown and gray, once relegated to UPS and post office workers, now makes a comeback for 2026.

I've never understood the over-sized, droopy pants and business suit look. Wear a shirt, goddammit.

I would imagine the designers locked in a jail cell, forced to design awful grey suits to the masses. Over and over again until they "get it right". But they never do...

Not even women are allowed pockets anymore. Do you have an urge to dress like a roman gladiator, wearing a black-inspired skirt?

No one needs boots so large they require belts. No one.

Fake fur has returned with a vengeance. Grandma says never to do it, but if you do, wear the real stuff.

And leather. It's back, and ladies and gentlemen, back with what appears to be the shortest skirts and/or pants in history.

Can you believe those tights cost $310 and the leather coat is $4100? Yes, you read that right. I'll see myself out now.

Upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

BY C STONE | THE SUPER HOT ||| FASHION NEWS ||| EDITOR IN CHIEF

Dear readers, be still your beating hearts, because on October 15th, the 2025 Victoria Secret fashion show will erupt into the global stage once again.

The Super Hot will be watching what's upcoming, mainly because we're fascinated with pretty models - women - and only women.

It will stream on Amazon Prime on October 15th at 7PM E.S.T.

Victoria Secret's TikTok, Youtube, and Instagram accounts will live stream.

WBNA player Angel Reese will be making her debut on the runway.

We don't believe the nonsense messages about empowering women. All this show is for is to sell the lingerie collections to people who can afford them.

If you're expecting a divine message or something insightful, I would be highly doubtful.

With respects to Ms. Reese, who got probably an enticing pay day for wearing underwear next week, will likely be the only benefit on this fashion show.

Time will tell how this show will unfold.
